Birmingham, Ala. (April 15, 2015) – Honours Golf, the premier golf management company in the Southeastern United States, welcomes Buster Inman as general manager of Maggie Valley Club & Resort, a four-season semi-private golf resort and club in Maggie Valley, North Carolina.

“Buster’s extensive experience in the golf industry and his knowledge of the western North Carolina region make him uniquely qualified to oversee the resort operations at Maggie Valley Club,” said Bob Barrett, chief executive officer of Honours Golf. “We are confident that he will bring a new perspective to the resort, as well as enhance the overall club experience for our members and guests.”

Inman, a seasoned veteran in the golf industry, comes to Maggie Valley most recently from The Gadsden Country Club, a private club in Gadsden, Alabama where he served as general manager and director of golf.  Prior to that, he served as general manager for Honours Golf at Highland Park Golf Course and Limestone Springs Golf Club located in central Alabama.  Early on in his career, Inman served as director of golf for the nationally renowned Robert Trent Jones Trail in Glencoe, Alabama where he spearheaded a state-wide charity golf event hailed as the World’s Largest Shotgun Start Tournament for the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail facilities and the State of Alabama Sports Hall of Fame.  He also served as vice president of sales for the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail overseeing all group sales promotions and PGA events and held management positions at several private, public and resort golf facilities in Florida, North Carolina and Texas. Inman is a graduate of the University of Georgia and a Class A PGA Professional.

“Maggie Valley is a well-established club that has such a bright future,” Inman said. “I’m very familiar with the area having spent my childhood summers here. This part of the country is so beautiful and very appealing because of the climate and array of outdoor adventures. I see tremendous potential to grow the club with new programs and activities designed for the entire family. I’m absolutely thrilled to have the opportunity to be part of Maggie Valley Club & Resort.”

Maggie Valley Club & Resort is nestled between the Blue Ridge and Great Smoky Mountains in western North Carolina.  The club opened in 1963 and has undergone a two-year multi-million dollar renovation in 2007.  The centerpiece of the property is its 6,500-yard championship course, which offers panoramic views of the valley and mountain ridgelines. The course design by William Prevost Sr. incorporates some of western North Carolina’s most spectacular scenery, with an elevation rise of 800 feet between the front Valley Nine and the more challenging Mountain Nine. In addition to golfare premium onsite amenities including a heated outdoor pool, tennis courts, practice facility, walking trails, yoga and a fitness room. Casual dining is offered within the award-winning, 18,000 square-foot clubhouse and luxurious, spacious onsite condominiums are available for vacation rentals or sale. An array of outdoor activities including hiking and biking trails, fishing, rafting and zip-lining adventures are in close proximity to the club as well as first-rate dining and entertainment in the neighboring towns of Waynesville, Cherokee and Asheville.
